      Description

Daktarin Gold Cream works in the outer layer of the skin. This enables it to directly target the infection that causes athlete’s foot. Even after just one week of treatment, the active ingredient continues to work for weeks and weeks to help keep you free from athlete’s foot.

Research indicates that the effects of Daktarin Gold lasts for up to eight weeks from the start of the one week treatment. It is the ideal product to treat your Athletes foot symptoms easily and confidentially.

Daktarin Gold 2% Cream contains ketoconazole and is for the treatment of the following mycotic infections of the skin: tinea pedis, tinea cruris and candidal intertrigo. Always read the label.

      Directions

      • Wash the infected area and dry it well. As many skin conditions are contagious, you should keep a towel and flannel for your own use and not share it so that you do not infect anyone else.
      • Apply the cream onto the infected area and surrounding skin.
      • Wash your hands carefully after applying the cream to avoid spreading the infection to other parts of the body or to other people. Similarly, clothing which comes into contact with the infected areas, such as socks, should be washed and changed frequently.

For skin infections of the trunk, groin, feet and hands, apply Daktarin Gold 2% Cream to the affected and immediate surrounding area once or twice a day.

Your doctor will tell you how often to use it and for how long. Depending on the type of infection, treatment may last 2 to 6 weeks.

      Warnings

Do not put the cream into your eyes. You should only use it on your skin.

If you are or have recently been applying a ‘potent corticosteroid’ medicine (such as betamethasone, fluocinolone or triamcinolone) to your skin, speak to your doctor before you use Daktarin Gold because you should not use them at the same time or within two weeks of each other.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding – If you are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, you should talk to your doctor before you use the cream. They will decide if you can use the cream. You can use Daktarin Gold whilst breastfeeding. It is inadvisable to apply directly to the breast while breast feeding.
